I can see how current society can appear old, but it is not. It is used up. It has no roots to draw from any deep reservoir to speak of...culture, tradition, mythos, nothing. It has been used, is being used, and will continue to be used. It is too exhausted to think of death; desperately
focusing only immortality, which it earnestly wants but knows it does not deserve.
I know you've heard this before, but as for as Death, for the Believer, it has no sting.
