Before the year 1945, no one outside of English Academia used the term “Indo-European.” Before that auspicious date, this group was given the courtesy of calling them what they called themselves: Aryan. The sensibilities of the real victors of the Second European Civil War demanded the removal of this courtesy, among other things that well and truly split the descendents from the forefathers.
